Liverwort: Alternation Of Generations (1974)

Close-up and time-lapse photography enables us to examine the liverwort, Marchantia, a standard example of alternation of generations. The role of water, essential to the reproduction of Byrophytes, is visualized as we see the actual transfer of sperm from antheridia to archegonia.
