DESCRIPTION
The film captures various scenes from a garden in the 1950s, primarily focusing on the interactions between insects and flowers. It starts with shots of flowers in bushes, and bees crawling on and flying between the flowers. There are glimpses of spider webs on the leaves of the bushes, and a grasshopper perched on one of the webs. The film then shows a ladybug on a flower, flowers swaying in the wind, and a caterpillar eating a leaf. A spiny caterpillar is seen consuming a flower on a plant. A butterfly gracefully flies around the garden, but eventually becomes trapped in a spider's web. The spider proceeds to wrap the butterfly in a cocoon. The film concludes with the struggling butterfly caught in the web while the spider is nearby, beginning to encase it in the cocoon. This is silent, raw Kodachrome stock footage from the Coronet educational film company that they would use in their films.
