DESCRIPTION
This home movie from the 1940s shows a family holiday in the United States. It begins with them looking over a viewpoint with binoculars and a telescope, followed by a visit to Clingman's Dome and a tourist store, where they meet Native Americans. The family then explore a summery, leafy forest, climb down waterfalls, scramble up cliffs, and explore a mine. They also encounter a black bear, pick coneflowers, and ride horses. They take a boat ride, visit the Norris Dam, the Natural Bridge and an ancient Arbor Vitae tree, and explore an Endless Cavern. Throughout the movie, the family admire the beautiful scenery and nature of the Great Smoky Mountains.
