DESCRIPTION
This home movie from the 1920s is a record of a cruise to the West Indies. It shows people waving goodbye from the dock as the ship departs, and the New York City skyline from the harbor. Passengers are seen on deck, playing shuffleboard and enjoying the sunset. The movie also shows the sights of Havana, including the Presidential Palace, Central Park Square, the USS Maine monument, a busy downtown, gardens and buildings. The movie also shows the exterior of Gran Casino Nacional, crowded restaurant terraces, and family and friends eating together. The movie also features scenes of the ship's activities, such as children playing on pommel horse, and people watching the sunset between lifeboats. Additionally, it also shows the views of Nassau harbor, filled with boats, sailboats, motorboat, and passenger ships on Nassau harbor, wrecks of ships, fish swimming through glass panels of glass-bottomed boat, and native Nassau men in canoe on choppy water.
