DESCRIPTION
This home movie from the 1940s shows footage of fishermen working on a trawler and processing fish in Alaska. It also shows views of the town and its surrounding landscapes, including mountains, snow, and rivers. There are also scenes of people fishing, preparing fish, eating, and exploring the wilderness. The movie also features shots of a small settlement and its businesses, as well as an Alaskan fjord seen from a boat cruise, and a sign for the Alaska Highway. People are shown swimming in an outdoor pool, and there are also shots of deer and fish in the wild, flowers and nature, and a native American totem pole. The movie ends with a view of water rushing through a gorge and a waterfall.
