Preparedness Among Ants

This film depicts the community life of an ant colony, the differentiation of the members of the colony into three classes: queen, workers, and soldiers, and the work performed by each class. The industrial, engineering, and military activities of the ant colony are shown. The film is divided into the prologue, which shows the queen selecting a site for a home; act one shows the discovery of plant lice, and the approach of enemies; and act two portrays the invasion and successful defense of the colony.
