DESCRIPTION
The film tells the true story of Leon, a meter inspector for Consolidated Edison in New York City, whose life takes a dramatic turn when his wife, Adele, is hospitalized due to a massive hemorrhage. With only three hours to save her, Leon seeks help from the Red Cross for a blood transfusion. As the blood is administered drop by drop, he holds onto hope for her survival. Ultimately, Adele recovers, and Leon reflects on the importance of blood donation, emphasizing the role of the Red Cross in providing life-saving blood without charge. The film highlights the collective effort of ConEd workers who donate blood to support their families and the community.
