DESCRIPTION
The film highlights the contributions of five pivotal figures in the field of medicine known as Health Heroes. Anthony Von Leeuwenhoek, in the 17th century, was the first to observe bacteria using a microscope. Edward Jenner developed the smallpox vaccine in 1796, pioneering immunization practices. Louis Pasteur demonstrated that microorganisms cause disease and introduced pasteurization. Robert Koch identified the anthrax bacterium and established methods for studying microorganisms. Joseph Lister advanced surgical safety through antiseptic techniques. Collectively, their work laid the foundation for modern medicine and improved public health.
